Designed to increase productivity of manual de-stacking and re-stacking operations of concrete block and pavers. Typical application is during secondary operations such as sandblasting, grinding or, in the case of erosion control block, "stitching" the block together to form mats. During a typical cycle, the operator positions the ATZ-P Pneumatic Clamp on the product, grips the product by closing the clamp through valves located on the positioning handle, lifts the clamp by electric hoist, sets the product down and releases the clamp. Just as with fully automated cubers, the "semi-automated" ATZ-P Cubing Clamp can lift an entire layer of pavers/block at one time and is a fraction of the cost of a fully automated cuber. Cycle times vary depending on local conditions, but are generally in the range of 30 to 40 seconds.
The ATZ-P Cubing Clamp greatly increases the productivity of manual stacking operations while eliminating worker fatigue and injury caused by repetitive lifting.
Available in 2-sided (ATZ-P2) or 4-sided (ATZ-P4) clamping, depending on the size and shape of your products. Special Pneumatic models can be built for fully automated operations.
Probst is also a specialist in hydraulic cubing clamps as well as electric cubing clamps and cubing systems with vacuum lifting technology. Please call PAVE TECH’s Equipment Division for further details.
