| PAVE EDGE for Permeable Pavements: Geo-Grid Wrap Method |
1. Start with 3/4” clean crushed base material to a specified depth. Then Lay grid at descreet points along the perimeter. Width of grid should be 12”-18”. Length of grid should be a minimum of 5’ for pedestrian applications and 8’ commercial/industrial applications. 50% of the length is laid under the 3/8” clean crushed bedding material (typically 2” thick). Spikes are used for temporary holding of the edging.
2. Once the paver field approaches the lay over section of grid, measurements are taken to ensure full pavers or minimal cutting at the edge. The PAVE EDGE should be adjusted to fit module size.
3. Once PAVE EDGE is adjusted to paver modules, pick up layout section and pull tight.
4. In the corners, lay over both sections of grid before setting pavers.
5. The field pavers are laid over the top of the grid and retain the edging.
6. Typically allow about an extra 1/2" between pavers and PAVE EDGE for final fitting and adjustment.
7. Finish laying full pavers to PAVE EDGE Industrial. Sweep 3/8" clear crushed into joints.
