Instead of trenching to the level of your starter (buried) course and compacting in trench, excavate down to below the starting level to allow for sufficient base needed for the application.

Determine the leading edge of the retaining wall and install PAVE EDGE accordingly by placing a 10” spike every two feet with RIGID and one spike per back support with FLEXIBLE.
Upon receiving appropriate approvals, lay starter rows of wall block until height exceeds designated buried course(s) needed and back fill in front of wall.
